Conroy Crowe Kelly is an architecture and urban design practice with over 30 years experience in mixed-use residential master-planning, design, and construction. A full range of architectural services from feasibility through the various planning stages to project completion is provided. We have our own in-house consultants in Urban Design, Planning, Fire Safety, Advanced Environmental Energy Efficiency, Conservation, Health and Safety and Project Management. The practice aims to achieve the highest standards of design on building quality, working within the programme and budget constraints determined by the client. In-house quality control procedures have been developed and are fully in operation
The practice strongly advocates that local centres are critical in these new residential neighbourhoods as they provide a social focus and identity for new communities. The practice also believes that these hubs should be realised in a format that people would relate to, namely an urban one incorporating good streets and public squares.
Our experience includes architecture, planning, urban design and masterplanning and building conservation and covers a wide range of building types including educational buildings, healthcare facilities and nursing homes, residential development, offices, retail, hotels and leisure complexes.
People
Many of the CCK team have very specific qualifications and expertise in different aspects of planning and construction, notably masters in Planning and Urban Design, masters in Advanced Environmental & Energy Studies, and masters in Digital Media, diploma in Professional Fire Safety Practice, Grade 3 conservation, Project Management, PSDP and registered for BER assessment.
CCK staff are familiar with current best practice guidelines and publications for residential and urban design and have visited a number of innovative residential schemes abroad such as Hammarby (near Stockholm), Accordia (Cambridge), Poundbury (near Dorchester) in the UK and Greenwich Point (London).Such experience provides essential understanding of the requirements of the end user; of difficulties that can arise from fundamental and early decisions in urban design; and of the importance of realistic methods of delivering urban design objectives.
